Seraphina Operations Rehearsal - July 16th, 2026
The July 16th integrated rehearsal exercised the assembled Seraphina tank, plumbing, controls and cold-flow procedure. Water was released through the engine-side hardware, but the test exposed leaks and integration faults that had to be corrected before hot-fire testing.
Recorded faults
The post-test refinement list records leaks at the tank's NPT plugs and at one swage fitting. The oxidizer run hose was too short. The P5 cable also required temporary WAGO extensions, the V3 dump-valve actuator had been installed backwards and the servos had been calibrated over the wrong range. Water was also seen leaking during fill; the quick-disconnect was one suspected source, but the archive does not preserve a confirmed cause.
The V3 actuator orientation and servo calibration were marked complete by July 20th. The NPT plugs, swage fitting, longer oxidizer hose, whip stops, permanent P5 cable and duplicate V3 labelling remained open in that revision of the list.
Follow-up checks
The team added a separate low-pressure assembly check so fittings could be tested before the full system was taken outside. On July 25th the assembled system was reported leak-tested, and manual pressurization through the GSE controls worked. Several mini cold flows were reported during the following days, but the archive does not preserve an individual run count, run log, telemetry or pass criteria.
