Propulsion System Overview
About the Propulsion Team
The Propulsion team drives the power of flight by designing, machining, and testing engines and propellant systems. The team develops injectors, plumbing, and conducts static hot-fires to advance toward a flight-weight rocket. This team focuses on combustion, fluid dynamics, and high-performance engineering to create reliable and efficient propulsion systems.
Fill and Purge System
Our system employs both high- and low-pressure nitrogen regulators. One for pneumatics and one for purge. Each subsystem is instrumented with dedicated pressure transducers. The pneumatic control architecture provides reliable, rapid actuation. Valves are spring-biased to ensure failsafe default positions. We adhere to industry-standard practices, utilizing Swagelok, AN, and NPT fittings.
